Dallas Zoo, Part 1

Today we've had lots of fun at the zoo in Dallas.  Everything was set up for our visit by Laurie, our friend that works there.  She had our name on the list for special parking, entry tickets, tickets to ride the monorail & lots of tickets to ride the carousel!  We had a great day today & are going back on Thursday for more special treatment.  

Some things we did today:

Picked out some shells & this very nice guy smoothed & polished them.

We watched a tiger.

Took a snack break.

Counted the elephants.

Had lunch with the lions.  This picture is from the table we were sitting at eating our pizza & fries for lunch.

We rode the monorail.

Yep, Bailee slept the entire ride.  Brynn liked it, but Brooks loved it.  Here's a shot of the front of the monorail with the Dallas skyline in the background.  We were in car 10.

We also loved watching the zebras & giraffes.  

We were going to get to feed the giraffes but they weren't hungry at the time we were there.  Hopefully we can try again on Thursday.

And no trip to the zoo is complete for Brynn without a couple of carousel rides.

And even though there isn't many pics of her, Bailee had a really fun day!  Here she is getting a diaper change while b&b rode the carousel.

And we'll be back at the zoo having even more fun on Thursday!
