Lunch & Dinner
Today we had a lunch date at Misty & LJ's house. Keelin will be one next week & she is about to take off walking any minute. Shockley, Jill and Evie were also there. There was lots of playing!
Bailee & EK at dinner...
This picture is from the only 5 minutes these kids were still from the 4 hours they spent together. They all had so much fun!
I made Granny's strawberry salad for the first time last night. I took it to our lunch date and then we had it for dessert at our house after dinner. It was a big hit!Friday, March 28, 2014
Green beans!
Bailee had her first green beans at lunch today. I cooked a frozen bag from Nana & P-Pa's garden.

Brynn and Daddy Date Night
Tonight was a very special night for Brynn and myself. We went on a date to a Nashville Predators game. Often, it is hard to spend time with just her, so it is great to get some one on one time with Brynn. I took her to a game earlier this year, and she has mentioned how much fun she had. She has asked to go back several times. It was time for another one.
We had to rush out of the house and get downtown quickly to beat the incoming rain tonight. Brynn talked the entire ride as we looked for popcorn trees and the city.
This is us in our seat. Brynn sat in my lap. The first game this year, we had seats on the glass. This was not the case tonight. Our seat was in the 3rd row from the top of the arena. Here was our view.
It was a very exciting game and Brynn does a pretty good job of watching. She did a lot of clapping and yelling. We had a great talk about the Preds jersey and the big predhead hanging from the ceiling,
I think Brynn wants to go to games because she associates them with nachos. I like sitting in the concourse talking to her while eating them. We sat behind the intermission reporter waiting for our chance to be on TV. Momma, Brooks, Bailee, P-Pa and Nana, Pa and Granny all tuned in for our appearance.
Waving to the people on the lower level before returning to our seat.
We started to get silly and play during the 2nd period. Brynn tried to make silly faces at the camera. She can be so funny!
We left during the 2nd intermission because Brynn was getting sleepy. It was already 9 (her bedtime). The rain was pretty heavy, but I covered her in my poncho and kept her dry until we got to the truck. She was not happy about the poncho and wouldn't be photographed in it! Ha!!!! She quickly got over it though.
I asked if I could take her picture and she said yes. She was very tired and fell asleep on the way home. When I tried to take a picture of her to send to momma, I got a SURPRISE DADDY!!!!!!!
We then laughed and goofed off the rest of the ride home. It was the perfect ending to a perfect night with the best girl ever!

Today it snowed
Spring started a couple of days ago but today it snowed off and on all day. We are all ready for it to be warm and stay that way!
Brynn and Bailee did some snuggling, playing, tv watching, and nose picking this morning before B&B went to preschool.
And this afternoon we made Bailee some baby food. I steamed the carrots, Parker ran them through the food mill, and B&B helped me mix them to the perfect texture. Me & Brynn then added them to an ice cube tray. When we are ready to feed her we can thaw a cube or two at a time.

Dallas Children's Aquarium
After playing in the park, we went to the Children's Aquarium of Dallas. This is a great place for kids because all the exhibits are on their eye level. It is located in an area called Fair Park which houses the Cotton Bowl among other things.
The first stop allowed you to touch and feel some shells and organisms. Brooks quickly learned that feel doesn't mean lifting an urchin out of the water!!
Somebody help me!!!!!
Brynn was mesmerized by the jelly fish.
Cheese Momma!! Take our picture!
Watching sharks never gets old :)
Yep, another albino! Who knew?
They enjoyed watching the stingrays, but were not to keen on feeding them.
I am pretty sure he said "Hi, Turtle".
Everyone had an awesome time at the aquarium! We got to see all sorts of neat fish and other things!
Everyone was tired after such a fun time at the park and aquarium. Brynn asked for a ride on my shoulders, and there was no way I was going to say make her walk.
