President's Day
It's President's Day, no students at school but we had staff development. Our speaker canceled and we were allowed to go home at 11:00. I am driving home thinking about lunch and what I can do with my free afternoon, because it's President's Day. So I stop at the end of the driveway, get out of the car and go open the mailbox.
I am a moron!
No mail on President's Day. I am just glad no one passed and saw me!

Toot Toot!
We went to the train show today with Tracie, Joey and Parker. It was at the Convention Center in Nashville. There were trains to play with and lots of model train sets and Parker and Joey got to ride Thomas the Train! Parker also got an engineer cap and a train whistle. It was a place any little boy would have enjoyed and Parker had a good time.

It's Stephanie's Birthday
Stephanie Gail Gibson was born on Sunday, February 12, at 4:37 A.M. She weighed 7 pounds and 5 1/2 ounces. She was 20 1/2 inches long. Her Daddy wanted to name her Punkin Eater, but I thought Stephanie would be much better. Her doctor, Billy Copeland, said it was the only baby he ever delivered that he thought really looked like someone and he never called her anything but "little Peanut."
She shares her birthday with Abraham Lincoln who is celebrating(somewhere) his 200th birthday this year! Stephanie is only 31. Here's a few photos from the past!

New Site to Leave Sticky Notes
I have created a bulletin board at web site called Stixy. We can post notes and pictures and even documents if we like. I have it started with a picture and some notes. Even Peanut has posted a note. It is very easy to use. Watch your e-mail for an invitation to join. Click on the link and create a password. Your e-mail is your user name.
Tracie told me about something called Project 365, where you make a picture every day and post it. You are suppose to do this for a year and then be able to look back at how things changed over the year. I have decided to try posting a picture everyday for a month on this board. My pictures might be current or they may be from the past! Then I will see if I want to try the year challenge! I started yesterday with a picture and some posts. When you join you have the same ability to post and edit. Check it out when you get your e-mail!

Gettin' the boxes ready
We're moving soon! Hopefully we're going to close on the 20th of this month and we'll have a week to move out of our apartment. That will give us time to paint the pink and purple rooms a more 'boyish' color for Parker. Joey and I are getting very excited about having a place of our own again. And its the same neighborhood Steph and Jay live in. Now you all really aren't going to have an excuse to come see us - ALL of us!
Here's a picture our future house, taken during the snowfall at the beginning on the month.

What a Day!
How to Eat Birthday Cake
by Parker
Here's how you eat a cake, it doesn't have to be a birthday cake, it can be any kind. This one was my Granny's cake, she doesn't mind sharing things with me, so this helps.
First you use your finger to eat all the lettering from the cake.
It should look something like this when you finish.
At this point you need to be careful because if you are not the icing could get in your hair and on your face.
Since the cake is looking pretty messy by now, you might want to go ahead and just. . .
Lick the rest of that yellow icing from the cake!
If other people want some after you have finished you should share with them!

Happy Birthday Mom/Granny/Delilah
Happy Birthday to Mom! She had a great birthday dinner at Pa and Granny's house last night. Parker was able to help her blow out her birthday candles...multiple times. Today is her actual birthday, and since it is such a beautiful day J is going to grill out for Mom's birthday lunch. Should be a fun day to be 53!
