Brynn's first heels

Me & Brynn hit up a consignment sale today.  She found a bag of 3 pairs of dress up shoes, a scarf & 3 boas for $3. We couldn't pass that deal up!  Here's the outfit she put together after we got home.

New Rule

Before I begin, it's important to know B&B are not allowed to wrestle on the couch. This morning I needed to lay Bailee down for nap time in the other room and ask them to sit on the couch and watch tv until I came back.  Here's what I found when I walked back into the room....

When I asked why they were wrestling on the couch they both insisted they were not wrestling. So I asked what they were doing.  Brynn replied, "Riding a camel, Mommy".  Now we have a new rule - no riding camels on the couch.

 

Playing "Ice Creams"

B&B love to play Candy Land (aka Ice Creams).  Not exactly sure why, but they call it Ice Creams. I think originally Brooks started calling it that because one of the 'special' cards you draw has a fancy ice cream on it that goes along with a section of the game board.  They mostly just pass out the cards & talk about what color cards they have, but we 'play' it almost every day.

Good shoppers

Today I dropped off B&B at preschool and me & Bailee went to Opry Mills to meet my friend Kristie and her little girl Lila.

We got some good deals & had a yummy lunch.  Bailee got a Valentine's onesie, Brynn got a hat, some flip flops & panties & Mommy got a sweater & sweatshirt.  All that shopping wore these two sweet girls out!

Night-Night Time

Brynn, this is you today before you and Brooks went out and about with Daddy to the bank, Kroger, and pharmacy.

You are two & a half and here are some facts about you:

Loves - jewelry, hats, shoes, "helping" with whatever Mommy is doing (laundry, dishes, taking care of Bailee, ect), playing outside, coloring.

Things you love to eat - cheese, fruit, cookies, taco meat, black beans, yogurt, and any type of fried potato.  You are not a picky eater & love most all types of fruit & lots of veggies.  You don't like meat that much unless its either taco meat or some form of chicken.

Favorite toys - dollhouse, princess castle, small stuffed animals, kitchen & fake food, shopping cart, & drawing easel.

Here's what your bed looks like, and if ONE of these things are missing at night-night time somehow you know it and we have to track it down.

You like to play games like hide & seek, ring around the rosie, and a 'big, bad wolf game' that you made up with Daddy & Brooks.

TV Shows - Sarah & Duck, Calliou, Yo Gabba Gabba, and most recently Dinosaur Train.  You will watch other shows but those are the things you ask to watch.

You go to preschool every Tuesday & Thursday from 9-1:15. Your Aunt TT works there (she helps with the 3 year olds, but you see her at school and at the end of the day she almost always brings you out to Mommy's car).  There are 8 other kids in your class but your two best friends are Charley & Norah (the only other girls).

You are very smart and can recognize all of your letters & colors, and sometimes you count to ten correctly. 

You also love to read books. The one we've read the most is Goodnight Moon. You know most of the words & finish the sentences for Mommy & Daddy.

Every night you brush your teeth, then Mommy & Daddy both come to tuck you in bed. We say, "Brynn, you are THE best girl", and you whisper, "ever"...and we agree.:)

Birthday Party Fun

Today we went to Brianna's birthday party. She is our neighbor and she is now 2. Her party was at a place where there are inflatables for lots of jumping & sliding.

Brynn on another slide. This one was harder because you had to use a rope to get you to the top but they got the hang of it fast!

Most of my pictures turned out blurry because no one was being still. Even Daddy got in on the jumping.

Bailee was sitting where she could see all the sliding & she loved every minute of it. She was so good, smiled at everyone that stopped to talk to her, and hung out and chewed her butterfly.

After all that jumping there was pizza to eat.

And of course cupcakes!
